³ He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. ⁴ But the high places were not removed. The people continued sacrificing and making offerings on the high places.

⁵ The Lord afflicted the king, and he was leprous until the day of his death. He lived in a separate house. Jotham the king’s son was in charge of the house, judging the people of the land.
